Failure to understand & support #ADHD costs #UK dearly says @JoPlattMP in @theHouse_mag
Improving our understanding of ADHD could save millions of pounds for the public purse – and help improve the life chances for millions of people across the UK, writes Jo Platt
They should start monitoring the service c.a.m.h.s. How do they expect children and adults to cope better when they are seen every 4-5 months for a 45 minute appointment? It’s a joke. My son was lost in the system, took 6 years before his diagnosis at age 11. He’s now 14 and hasn’t been at school for 3 years of secondary school and 4 years of part-time 9am to 12pm before that. C.a.m.h.s is the only service in Scotland who deals with the diagnosis and support of childrens mental health.
